The wait times & organisation was slow. When given an appointment time & arriving with plenty of time, you would expect to be seen in a reasonable amount of time. Though seeing as the place was quiet, there was no reason to have me wait an additional 35 minutes

Quick and efficient service, vision test done easily and appointment booking is easy too. The staff “ZM” and a lady with red glasses were very helpful. They helped me find a pair of glasses which suited me, didn’t rush, helped me get the best value for money and even fixed my old glasses. Walked away with 3 useable pairs well within my budget

I visited Specsavers Leeds Albion street store for an eye test on the evening of 16th April. At the time, the appointment felt quite rushed, but I didn’t think too much of it. I returned on 23rd April to collect my glasses, and straight away I felt something wasn’t right. My vision seemed significantly worse while wearing them. I mentioned this to a member of staff, but I was advised to “give it 2 weeks” as new glasses can take time to adjust to. Over the following week, things only got worse — I was experiencing double vision and discomfort. I went back to the store on 2nd May to explain that I genuinely believed the prescription was incorrect. Unfortunately, the store manager dismissed my concerns and insisted it was “very unlikely,” again advising me to keep wearing them for a few more weeks until I adjusted. What disappointed me most was not just the mistake itself, but how difficult it was to be taken seriously. I repeatedly explained that the glasses were affecting my eyesight negatively, but I felt my concerns were brushed aside. I was offered a future retest appointment or a partial refund to try elsewhere, but after already making multiple trips, I expected an urgent recheck the same day. I was eventually referred to another colleague, Stewart, who was excellent throughout. He listened carefully, showed genuine understanding, and arranged for me to see another optician the very same day. The second eye test confirmed that my prescription had indeed been significantly incorrect. I was apparently given what was described as a “super boost” prescription when all I actually required were reading glasses. After another week, I finally received the correct glasses. This experience was frustrating, and stressful. Mistakes can happen, but customers should feel listened to when they raise concerns about something as important as their eyesight. Thanks to Stewart for accommodating me and helping to avoid being further tossed around, and to the optician who carried out my repeat test. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t feel confident returning to this store again.

She helped in every possible way and made sure we were looked after from entering to leaving! The team had worked such a busy day however their attitude and efforts did not fall. Up most respect and admiration to all team member that worked on Tuesday. A big thank you Jane you genuinely are such a wonderful human being and we cannot wait to see you again in a year!!!

I had a really good experience at Specsavers Leeds Albion Street. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything was explained in a way that was easy to understand. We didn’t feel rushed at all, and they were happy to answer any questions. The whole process felt smooth and well organised, and the optician was thorough which made us feel reassured. Overall, it was a really positive visit and I’d definitely recommend it to others.
